Day 1

After a long night of travel, our team finally arrived in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. We were warmly welcomed by Joel and Rafael. We gathered at the guest house, where we will be staying for the week. This day of travel helped us get to know each other better as we continue to come together as a team. We shared meals and listened as Rafael, who is pastor of ICC church, which we will visit later in the week. He prepared our hearts for the week ahead. He discussed how we are all one in Christ in Gods’ kingdom, and the joy of serving those around us. Many were exhausted from the long day of travel and retired early for the night. We will be energized for tomorrow!
