Day 2

People often ask “why do we always go to the Dominican Republic?” While the answers are many and varied, often the first answer is that “it feels like coming home.” Even the new people on our team experienced this feeling as our Vision Celestial friends fully embraced all of our team members.

We were excited to renew friendships with our dear friends as well as learn about and see the progress made in this last year on Vision Celestial’s varied community outreach projects. One such project was seeing the bakery, which is transforming into a full service cafeteria. Terry Camp has been involved over the past year working with Altagracia on layout, landscaping and color scheme. We were all delighted to see the bakery freshly painted as Terry recommended. 

Tomorrow we return to Vision Celestial to spend more time with the children and then begin visiting with the families of our sponsored children.
