Day 6 - 2025

Today was a day of worship, fellowship, and communion with our family at Vision Celestial.  We sang as one voice to the Lord, blending tongues from two nations. Wayne Freeman and Terry Camp, as well as Yajaira from Vision Celestial, shared powerful testimonies of how God has been working in their lives, touching our hearts deeply.  The sense of family and community was palpable as congregants spontaneously shared how small groups have impacted their faith and service to others. Serving friends, neighbors, and the community is a cornerstone of their faith. Despite their own needs, they always respond to the needs around them.

Ernesto reminded us that we are the salt of the earth and ambassadors for Christ. We are called to proclaim the good news so that others may be reconciled to God. If we are not aligned with God’s purposes, we lose our saltiness, our purpose. When salt isn’t used, it becomes insipid and useless.

Witnessing the staff at the Compassion project and Vision Celestial this week has shown us what it truly means to be the salt of the earth and ambassadors for Christ. Vision Celestial serves as a blueprint for how we can better serve our community. During our time together eating, laughing, and sharing, Ernesto asked if we saw ways they could live into this calling even better. Just as we learn from them, they are eager to learn from us.

The goodbyes are long, but our hearts are full and ready to pour out to those we serve, until we refill our cups next year.
